FLON-1 – Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)

FLON-1 is a high-performance sealing material based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Thanks to its unique composition and broad chemical compatibility, it offers one of the widest application ranges among industrial sealing materials.

FLON-1 provides outstanding chemical and corrosion resistance and is unaffected by most aggressive media. Its resistance is limited mainly when exposed to molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine at high temperatures.

PTFE naturally tends to creep under sustained mechanical load and therefore has a relatively limited pressure-bearing capacity when used without reinforcement. The material is particularly suitable for applications requiring low friction, excellent chemical stability, and high purity.

FLON-1 can also be used in applications involving contact with foodstuffs, as well as in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, subject to the applicable material certifications and regulatory requirements.
