FLON-3 – Bronze-Filled PTFE
FLON-3 is a modified PTFE material containing 40% bronze, specifically developed to provide higher mechanical strength and improved performance under demanding operating conditions.
Compared to virgin PTFE, FLON-3 offers increased compressive strength, dimensional stability, thermal conductivity, and excellent wear resistance. Its improved heat dissipation makes it particularly suitable for dynamic applications involving higher loads and temperatures.
Due to its bronze content,FLON-3 has a higher coefficient of friction and lower chemical resistance than many other filled PTFE compounds. Compatibility with the operating medium should therefore be verified during material selection.
FLON-3 is suitable for sealing and bearing applications requiring high load-bearing capacity, excellent wear performance, and efficient heat transfer.
