The MSP08S is a low-friction piston seal based on the classic Step Seal design. It combines a modified PTFE sealing ring with an energizing O-ring, providing compact installation, reliable static sealing and effective back-pressure relief.
Its angled sealing lip creates an efficient pump-back effect, making the seal suitable for precise positioning, fast response and low-leakage operation. Different O-ring materials allow use across a wide temperature range.
Applications
Injection moulding machines, control cylinders, servo systems, machine tools, fast-response cylinders and construction machinery.

- Temperature: –45°C to +200°C, depending on the O-ring material
- Pressure: up to 35 MPa
- Surface speed: up to 1.5 m/s
- Media: mineral hydraulic oils and greases
- Materials: MSFLON-3 + MSRUBBER-N70 or MSFLON-3-GP + MSRUBBER-N70
Installation
Suitable for closed grooves and tension installation. Protect the sealing surface from sharp metal edges and use smooth, non-metallic tools if required. The sealing ring may be heated in hot oil to facilitate installation.
The maximum operating values must not be applied simultaneously.
